Salesperson License Requirements
Individuals who perform acts of real estate services in Missouri must be licensed by the Real Estate Commission. For the purposes of the License Professor, a salesperson is similar to sales agents in other states. Minimum Requirements to Apply for the Salesperson License
- To be eligible for the salesperson examination, applicants must be 18 years of age; and

Fulfill ONE of the following requirements:
- Earn a Certificate of Satisfactory Completion from a 60-hour salesperson course from a Missouri real estate school by the test date.
- Be a licensed attorney.
- Be granted a one-time sitting for the examination by the Missouri Real Estate Commission.
- Qualify for a one-time sitting for the examination by having been actively licensed in another state as a salesperson or broker for 12 of the 18 months immediately preceding the test date.

Broker License Requirements
A Missouri Real Estate Broker License is required of individuals who want to employ salespersons under their supervision. A license may be obtained by broker candidates that have an active Missouri license that they have used full time for the previous three years. - Qualify for a one-time sitting for the examination by having been actively licensed as a broker in another state for 12 of the 18 months immediately preceding the test date.

What score do I need to pass the Missouri Salesperson Exam?
The salesperson exam contains 100 national questions and 40 state-specific questions. Each question is judged by experts for what would be a score for a “minimally competent practitioner†(MCP) based on their difficulty. The minimum passing score is then computed by averaging these judgments.
What score do I need to pass the Missouri Broker Exam?
The broker exam contains 10 national simulation problems and 75 state-specific multiple choice questions. A minimum passing level (MPL) is assigned by experts, who judge the simulations to create the overall minimum passing level.
Can I get a Missouri real estate license if I have a criminal record?
Just because you have a criminal record, it does not mean that you will be prevented from receiving your license. It is always best to provide details on your application. If you are unsure, you can always call the commission to clarify what type of convictions are allowed, and which are not.
How much time am I given to complete the Missouri License Exam?
You are given a total of 4 hours for the salesperson exam. This means you have a total of 240 minutes to complete the real estate license exam.
You are given a total of 4.5 hours for the broker exam. This means you have a total of 270 minutes to complete the real estate license exam.
