Individuals who perform acts of real estate services in Wisconsin must be licensed by the Real Estate Commission. For the purposes of the License Professor, a salesperson is similar to sales agents in other states. - Complete 10 academic semester hour credits at an institution of higher learning in real estate or real estate related law, OR
- Complete the Board approved 72-hour pre-license education program for Salespersons within four years before submitting the application for licensure.
- Honesty: License applicants must be honest and truthful. Conviction of a crime may result in the denial of a license. The failure to reveal a criminal conviction on an original license application may also result in the denial of a license.
- Exam & Application: Applicants for a real estate license must pass the appropriate licensing examination. Applicants must submit the license application and required documentation to the DSPS before their examination scores are one (1) year old.

A Wisconsin Real Estate Broker License is required of individuals who want to employ sales agents under their supervision.
