Individuals who perform acts of real estate services in Louisiana must be licensed by the Real Estate Commission. A salesperson license gives you the ability to work in the office of a real estate broker as an employee or independent contractor. For the purposes of the License Professor, a salesperson is similar to sales agents in other states.   • Have obtained a high school diploma or equivalency certificate (GED).
  • Show proof of successful completion of ninety (90) hours of real estate education in courses approved by the LREC.

  • Pass the real estate salesperson licensing examination.
  • Be sponsored by a licensed real estate broker, if Active license is granted and provide proof of errors and omissions insurance prior to license issuance.
