How to Get Your Mississippi Real Estate License

Salesperson License Requirements

Broker License Requirements

• Complete 120 classroom hours of real estate courses (or 150 classroom hours if you don't have one year of immediately-preceding experience)
• Furnish a letter of reference from your bank regarding satisfactory banking experience, plus a letter from your responsible broker if currently licensed
• Pass the Broker exam (75% general, 80% state — even higher thresholds than the salesperson exam)

Reciprocal Licensure

Applicants holding an active license in another state may use real estate education from providers not directly approved by Mississippi, if the issuing state has approved both the applicant's courses and provider, and a current reciprocal agreement is in force between that state and Mississippi.
