Salesperson License Requirements
Individuals who perform acts of real estate services in Minnesota must be licensed by the Real Estate Commission. For the purposes of the License Professor, a salesperson is similar to sales agents in other states. Minimum Requirements to Apply for the Salesperson License
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Successfully complete ninety (90) hours of real estate prelicense education. There are three courses that you must successfully complete before you apply for a real estate salesperson license, known as “Course I,†“Course II,†and “Course III.†Each course consists of 30 hours of instruction. You must successfully complete Course I before taking the salesperson's examination. You must successfully complete Course II and Course III before applying for your license.

- Pay the appropriate licensing fee.

Broker License Requirements
An Minnesota Real Estate Broker License is required of individuals who want to employ salespersons under their supervision. A license may be obtained by broker candidates that have an active Minnesota license that they have used full time for two out of the previous five years.
