A Realistic 21-Day Plan to Pass the Oregon Exam

Mistake 1: Confused by Oregon's "Broker" terminology

Oregon's entry-level licensee is called a "Broker" (not "Salesperson"). National prep books talk about salespersons.

The fix: Memorize Oregon's two-tier structure: Broker (entry), Principal Broker (supervisor).

Mistake 2: Skipping Statewide Planning Goals

Oregon's land use system is uniquely tested. National prep doesn't cover it.

The fix: Memorize the major Goals (especially Goals 3, 4, and 14) and how they affect land use.

Mistake 3: Underestimating Urban Growth Boundaries

Week 2: Oregon-specific deep dive

Day 8-11: Statewide Planning Goals and UGBs. Spend 4 days here. Day 12-14: Agency disclosure, property disclosures, trust accounts.

Week 3: National content

Day 15-17: Contracts. Day 18-19: Financing. Day 20-21: Math intensive.

Week 4: Simulation

Day 22-27: Two timed practice exams + targeted review. Day 28-29: Final review. Day 30: Exam day.

Three things every plan should include

1. At least 2 timed simulated exams.
2. At least 50 land use / UGB practice questions.
3. At least 50 math problems.
