Salesperson License Requirements
Individuals who perform acts of real estate services in Nevada must be licensed by the Real Estate Commission. For the purposes of the License Professor, a salesperson is similar to sales agents in other states. Purchasing the sales agent package and selecting Nevada will provide you with national questions as well as Nevada-specific salesperson questions.
Minimum Requirements to Apply for the Salesperson License
- Applicants for a real estate salesperson license must show proof of completion of the required 90 hours or 6 semester units of instruction in real estate principles, practices and law from an Nevada Real Estate Commission accredited provider . The course must include a minimum of 18 hours of Nevada law, consisting of NRS 645, 119, 119A, 119B and their respective administrative codes. Certified transcripts must be submitted with the license application.
- Applicants must show proof of passing the national and Nevada state exam within one year of the application date.
- Applicants may use their national examination results from another state but must show proof of those results.

Broker License Requirements
A Nevada Real Estate Broker License is required of individuals who want to employ salespersons under their supervision. A license may be obtained by broker candidates that have an active Nevada license that they have used full time for two out of the previous five years. Minimum Requirements to Apply for the Broker License
- Fingerprint Card: one (1) fingerprint card and a cashier's check or money order made payable to the “Department of Public Safety†OR a verification form issued by an approved Fingerprint Vendor (Form 619).
- Original state and national passing exam results dated within the last 12 months.
- Complete confidential financial statement (Form 558) and credit report. Financials must be approved before you can apply for the broker's license.
- Must furnish proof of 2 years of active full-time experience within the last 4 years (Form 509).
- Education requirements: Proof of pre-licensing education by certified transcripts or certificates and 64 semester college credits required:

You may submit a combination of both experience and education transcripts to meet the full 64 semester credits. College credits must be obtained if experience is not verifiable.
- For every 2 years of real estate licensed experience, Nevada will allow 16 college credits towards the education components with the exception of the 45 hour Broker Management and 18 hour Nevada real estate law courses.
